Overview

Hipercone HiFDTD is a general purpose finite-difference time-domain solver for high-performance full-wave electromagnetic simulations. HiFDTD uses a novel computational data architecture based on the asynchronous mesh updates to reach a performance of more than 100 billion grid updates per second for large-scale 3D simulations on any type of modern computational platform ranging from a single CPU workstations to large supercomputers. Such performance enables a wide spectrum of applications. For example, models of human body in microwave range, or of OLED emission layers in optical range, or broadband elipsometry model for nanostructured surface will be calculated within minutes of compute time using typical multi-CPU workstations.
